Information we use
When you choose Discord sign-in, SurgeRL receives your Discord user ID, username, display name, and avatar information. When Epic Games sign-in becomes available and you choose it, SurgeRL receives the Epic account identifier and basic profile information approved by Epic and shown on its authorization screen.
For an authorized SurgeRL owner, the dashboard can request a read-only view of server roles, permissions, member display names, and role assignments. That inventory is not exposed to regular visitors.
How we use it
- To sign you in and display “Welcome, <your display name>.”
- To connect your community and player identities when you ask us to.
- To provide community access and owner-only role views.
- To protect the website, diagnose failures, and comply with legal obligations.
SurgeRL does not sell personal information or use connected account data for targeted advertising.
Cookies, storage, and retention
The initial website keeps connected identity data inside an encrypted, HttpOnly website session cookie rather than a public browser store. The session normally expires within seven days, and signing out or using the account-deletion page clears it from this browser. OAuth client secrets and Discord bot credentials remain on the server and are never sent to the page.
Discord role information is fetched on demand for an authorized owner and is not retained by the initial website. Hosting and network providers may keep limited security and operational logs under their own policies.
Service providers
SurgeRL communicates with Discord when you use Discord sign-in or when an authorized owner loads the role inventory. If enabled, SurgeRL communicates with Epic Games when you use Epic Games sign-in. The website host processes the traffic needed to deliver the site.
Your choices
You can decline either sign-in, sign out at any time, clear the SurgeRL website session from the account-deletion page, and revoke SurgeRL access through your Discord or Epic Games authorized-app settings. Discord server roles and messages remain part of Discord and must be managed there.
Age, security, and changes
The website is not directed to children under 13, and users must meet the minimum age required by Discord, Epic Games, and local law. SurgeRL uses encrypted sessions, restricted authorization scopes, owner checks, and server-side credentials, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
